Rocket is the Sydney trio’s brand new single – the first off their debut EP which will be released on Friday 5 August.

Radio INK are living proof that good things do come out of 5am Myspace exchanges! When DJs Dic Money and Ronny Clark saw Miss S singing in a nightclub, they knew they’d found their ‘princess of the dance floor’. Cue several Myspace chats and, boom, a new Australian electro-pop sensation was born – Radio INK.

Rocket is the Sydney trio’s brand new single – the first off their debut EP which will be released on Friday 5 August. Following the hugely successful release of three independent singles, Wish U Were Here, Give Me What U Got and Physical, Rocket is a hook-driven, dance-pop crossover smash.

Written by Radio INK, Rocket was produced by New York-based Diamond Cut (Rich Sanford). The accompanying video was shot in a non-airconditioned basement during Sydney’s record-breaking heat wave. Under the creative guidance of well-known indie film director James Demitri, Rocket: The Video is an alien-inspired clip which includes an extended short film ‘space odyssey’ version for Radio INK’s YouTube channel.

“For fans of Sneaky Sound System, The Presets and all other electro-pop sensations stemming from down under, rejoice! You’ve got a new name to add to your playlists.” MuuMuse 2010 (The Hype Machine)

Radio INK’s debut EP – Rocket – includes White Flags, Heartbreaker, Number 1 and extended remixes of Rocket from fellow dance-floor favourites including Moonchild [Sydney, Aust.], Bit Funk [Chicago, USA], Koobra [Helsinki, Finland], Punches [Brooklyn, USA] and Neon Workout [Sweden].

Together since 2009, the band’s debut single which was released the same year, Wish U Were Here, received support from the national Hot30 Countdown, Take 40 Australia, Video Hits and Rage. The band was chosen to star in Vodafone’s Blackberry national TV campaign with MTV’s Ruby Rose to launch their second single, Give Me What U Got (later chosen as the 2010 NA2R winner by Commercial Radio Australia).

Radio INK’s third single, Physical, was the #1 Most Added Track to radio across Australia in December 2010. The single spent six weeks in the Top 10 Independent Charts and seven weeks in the iTunes Dance Chart. Physical received national airplay on Nova, Today and MIX FM networks while the video aired heavily on Video Hits, MTV and Rage.

In March 2011, Radio INK performed to Australian and international troops in Afghanistan.

Radio INK will be announcing a national East Coast tour soon to celebrate their new single and EP Rocket.

Radio INK are managed by Jake Challenor and George Said, BillyBlueMusic.

Their debut single “No Control” is at media now. The track, with its atmospheric, up-lifting chorus, forms the backbone of the band’s dreamy live set, which Australian audiences will get a chance to experience as the band embark on an east coast tour of Australia.

Sony Music Australian announces its latest signing, melodic Australian four-piece HOLLAND.

Hailing from Brisbane, HOLLAND is led by Jarryd Klapper (lead singer) and Shane Graham (lead guitarist). The band’s co-founders are well supported by a rhythm section which comprises James Taylor (bass) and Javed Sterritt (drums). Now, with a major label album release and a debut single in the works, the group is riding on the crest of a wave quite like none have experienced before.

Their debut single “No Control” is at media now. The track, with its atmospheric, up-lifting chorus, forms the backbone of the band’s dreamy live set, which Australian audiences will get a chance to experience as the band embark on an east coast tour of Australia.

It’s been a lucky tide of events which has brought the band to this point. Back in 2006, an early incarnation of the band known as Fatis Valour released a self-funded EP. “That EP was us finding our feet, our style,” recalls Jarryd. It wasn’t an overwhelming commercial success, but it did enough to catch the ears of a Sony Music Australia-signed artist, who brought the record to the label’s A&R team. Sony Music’s executives liked what he heard, and they signed the band to a recording contract. Later, a management arrangement fell into place with Billy Blue Music.

Following a year of writing and fine-tuning, the band shipped Stateside to record their debut effort with feted producer Nick DiDia at the helm. DiDia’s track history reads like a chronicle of contemporary rock music. The American producer has worked on multiple albums for the likes of U.S. superstars Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine, Bruce Springsteen and Train. DiDia has a healthy association with Australian artists, having sat behind the desk for many of Powderfinger’s best-sellers and worked on albums for the Living End and Katie Noonan, among others.

HOLLAND hunkered-down for a touch over a month in Atlanta, cutting their debut in the Southern Tracks Recording Studios. It was time well spent, and it was spent well-away from the band’s comfort zone. On a casual listen, the album is a littered with pop numbers. There’s drama and tenderness in equal measure, with touches that will remind some of Coldplay and early Kings of Leon. Closer inspection reveals a set rich with warm melodies, and a depth that should strike a chord in the colder months. DiDia truly captures the urgency of Jarryd’s vocals and the subtle tones of his piano-play.

Album highlights include the catchy, bass-heavy “Without You,” and “What You Mean To Me,” a piece which neatly showcases each musician’s set of skills.

Catch HOLLAND as they tour these songs along the east coast of Australia.

The Forces entertainment tour is heading to the Middle East with a host of amazing talent to knock the socks off troops stationed in the area.

The Forces entertainment tour is heading to the Middle East with a host of amazing talent to knock the socks off troops stationed in the area. Headlining the superstar tour is established comedian and panelist on Good News Week, Mikey Robins as well as electro-pop sensations Radio Ink, Indie-rock band, Holland, and recently crowned Gold Coast’s 2010 Sexiest Woman, Sammii Lee.

Mikey Robins has been entertaining audiences with his intelligent and quick-witted humour for nearly two decades. His prolific career has seen him co-author two books, host numerous radio programs and appear every Monday night on the hit TV show Good News Week. “I am really excited. I can’t wait to get there,” Mikey has said of the upcoming tour.

Joining Mikey on the tour is thrilling threesome Radio Ink, headed up by the gorgeous Miss S and accompanied by DJ’s Dic Money and Ronny Clark. Radio Ink has recently won the 2010 NA2R Winner for Commercial Radio Australia and their latest track Physical has been receiving plenty of airtime in clubs and bars all around Australia. “The boys and I are getting pretty excited about the tour. We’re busy fine-tuning everything for the 5 shows we’ll be doing over the 10-day tour! It’ll be unlike anything we’ve done before, but we’re ready to get the troops dancing and having fun…. Oh, and we can’t wait to ride in a tank.” Miss S, lead singer of Radio Ink commented.

Holland will be adding a more chilled vibe to the tour with their poetic indie-rock sound. Holland, a 4-piece band from Brisbane, has been likened to Coldplay and Kings of Leon with their stunning melodies and lyrics gaining them plenty of dedicated fans. “It is always a cool thing to be able to play for people outside of your own country, but to be able to go to a war torn region and play for the troops that are fighting for our freedom, is definitely a once in a life time opportunity. We count it as an honour and a privilege,” said lead guitarist Shane “Shano” Graham about the upcoming tour.

Hosting this highly entertaining crew of performers is QLD model, Sammii Lee. Recently crowned Gold Coast’s 2010 sexiest woman, Sammii has also previously won the title of Real Girl of the Year in 2007 and is currently busy spending her time hosting, MCing and being a safe sex ambassador. “I deem it an honour to bring a little bit of Aussie normality to our troops so far from home. The anticipation and excitement is almost unbearable for this once in a lifetime opportunity,” Sammii has said.

The entertainers will perform five shows during their visit to The Middle East and will have the opportunity to meet with troops who are currently serving on operations in the area.

Sometimes a name finds the band. That’s certainly been the case with HOLLAND. The melodic Australian four-piece inherited the title, as though a birthright. As the group readied for their entry into the big league, they adopted a new guise which evidently had been with them all along.

Fatis Valour was cast-off for the new title HOLLAND, the maiden name of the group’s charismatic vocalist Jarryd Klapper. “It’s always been a part of my life,” comments the eye-catching singer. “I’ve not been to Holland, but in a way it’s where I come from.”

HOLLAND is led by Jarryd and its talismanic lead guitarist Shane “Shano” Graham. The band’s co-founders are well supported by a rhythm section which comprises James Taylor (bass) and Javed Sterritt (drums). The four bandmates call Brisbane home, but all have a strong connection with the Gold Coast. Now, with a major label album release and a debut single in the works, the group is riding on the crest of a wave quite like none have experienced before.

Following a year of writing and fine-tuning, the band shipped Stateside to record their debut effort with feted producer Nick DiDia at the helm. DiDia also has a healthy association with Australian artists, having sat behind the desk for, among others, many of Powderfinger’s best-sellers.

The lead single is “NO CONTROL”. The track, with its atmospheric, up-lifting chorus, forms the backbone of the band’s dreamy live set. “That song is for everyone,” explains Jarryd. “Who hasn’t gone to bed in the middle of an argument and you end up kicking yourself for not solving it? The song is about learning from your mistakes, and dealing with it.”

In support of their first single HOLLAND is taking their breathtaking live show on a NO CONTROL TOUR, presented by The Harbour Agency and Billy Blue Music.
